If you know a thing or two about soccer, you will have heard about the name Müller, whether it was German legend Gerd in the 1970s or the Thomas of today. The Müller of today has drawn comparisons to Gerd Müller and rightly so. The two are similar in many aspects, Thomas is known for playing a rather awkward style but having uncanny ability to finish virtually any chance that falls to him in the box. Countryman Gerd was known to be a real fox in the box as well.

The Bundesliga storylines keep getting better and better each and every week. Borussia Mönchengladbach remain at the bottom of the table, causing Lucien Favre to step down. After bringing the Foals to the Champions League it is quite sad to see.
Bayern and Dortmund continue to fly high atop the Bundesliga. Their clash on October 4 will prove to be a real classic with title implications. Stuttgart still can’t grab a win and Ingolstadt would be in Europe if the season ended today. Here are some of the big headlines coming out of Matchday 5.

Finally, after a seemingly long international break, we have the return of Germany’s top flight. There was some fantastic games this weekend, including a late game comeback from Bayern and Eintracht Frankfurt playing out an eight goal thriller against FC Köln. Dortmund are still at the top of the table after a win over Hannover. Here are some of the big storylines of the weekend.
